Mod Pizza opens its first location on Ogden Ave in Downers Grove, IL. A small team with a big idea: pizza made your way, from scratch, every time. The community responds with overwhelming enthusiasm.
After two years of perfecting our signature dough recipe and sourcing the best local suppliers, we formally launch the modpizza menu — featuring over 20 specialty combinations and unlimited customization.
We launch our Community Giving Initiative, pledging a portion of every sale to local food banks and youth programs across Illinois. In our first year, we contribute over $120,000 to community causes.
